Here’s a travel route from O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to

Mekete Lodge in Polokwane:

 

By Car

1.

Exit OR Tambo International Airport:

Follow signs to exit the airport and get on the R24 towards Johannesburg.

 

2.

Take the N3:

Continue on the R24 and take the exit onto the N3 North towards Pretoria.

 

3.

Merge onto the N1:

Stay on the N3 and then merge onto the N1 North towards Polokwane.

 

4.

Continue on the N1:

Keep driving on the N1 North for several hundred kilometers, passing through various towns and cities.

 

5.

Take the Louis Trichardt exit:

Take the exit towards Louis Trichardt and then continue on this road.

 

6.

Reach Mekete Lodge:

Turn right onto Kareebosch Road (Plot 44). Follow the signs to Mekete Lodge.

Flight from Johannesburg to Polokwane:

Check for flights from O.R. Tambo International Airport to Polokwane International Airport.
The flight duration is about 1 hour.

Exit Polokwane Airport:

Head northwest on Landdros Mare Street (R101).

 

2.

Join the N1:

Continue on Landdros Mare Street and follow signs to merge onto the N1 North towards Louis Trichardt.

 

3.

Drive on the N1 North:

Continue driving north on the N1 for approximately 10km

 

4.

Take the Kareebosch Road turn-off:

Look for a turn-off to Kareebosch Road (Plot 44) on your right side.

 

5.

Reach Mekete Lodge:

Turn right onto Kareebosch Road and follow the signs to Mekete Lodge.
