Our Love
Story
Our love story can be described as one of determination and fate. We believe it was conspired not only by the universe but also by our ancestors, connecting us despite the distance between Manchester and Johannesburg. Two women, both named Julia – one in Zimbabwe and the other in South Africa – gave birth to two hopeless romantics who would eventually find each other in a world of nearly 8 billion people.
Our love blossomed while torn from each other for 10, 6, and then 1 month apart. We have faced COVID travel restrictions, visa challenges, and missed flights, but our love never wavered.

Reuniting again face-to-face post covid and a serendipitous move to the Netherlands. Today we are blessed to see each other as often as we like. Through every hurdle, our love and shared sense of adventure remained our anchor.
Now as we reflect on our journey towards the beginning of the rest of our lives, we draw inspiration from it, making it the theme of our wedding, a love that connects.
